Marana Prevention Alliance (MPA) is a community-based coalition working to prevent youth substance abuse in Marana, Picture Rocks, and Avra Valley. Currently, the Alliance is focused on the prevention of youth marijuana use, prescription drug misuse, and underage drinking. Working as a community, and implementing a variety of strategies aimed at youth, families, MPA also facilitates several student groups at local schools to involve youth in substance abuse prevention at their school and in their community.
Marana Prevention Alliance strives to collaborate, bringing together all sectors of the community to work collectively to impact the lives of its population. Anyone interested in preventing youth substance abuse in Marana is welcome to join Marana Prevention Alliance, which meets the 4th Thursday of the month at 3:30pm.
